North Kyoga RPC Receives New Patrol Vehicles to Boost Police Operations

LANGO -The Regional Police Commander (RPC) for North Kyoga, SSP Doka Rashid, has officially received two brand-new patrol vehicles designated for Apac District and Ogur Central Police Station (CPS) in Lira District.

The vehicles were handed over on Wednesday at the Regional Police Headquarters in Erute, following their delivery by a team from the Police Fleet Management Unit under the Directorate of Logistics and Engineering, led by IP Otuba Solomon.

According to SSP Doka, the new additions will help bridge a long-standing logistical gap that has hindered police response in the region since the district’s creation. “This development will greatly enhance our capacity in crime prevention, emergency response, and general operational efficiency,” he said.

The Public Relations Officer for North Kyoga Region, SP Patrick Jimmy Okema, confirmed that the new vehicles bring the total number of recently delivered patrol cars in the region to four, following earlier allocations to Otuku and Kole districts.

SP Okema also urged unit commanders to ensure proper control, command, and maintenance of the vehicles to guarantee effective service delivery and longevity.

The North Kyoga Police leadership extended appreciation to the top management of the Uganda Police Force for fulfilling its commitment to strengthen regional operations and improve security service delivery.
