Atapara Secondary School Appeals for More Government Support to Improve Learning Environment.

OYAM - Leaders of Atapara Senior Secondary School in Oyam District have appealed to district authorities to urgently intervene and improve the learning conditions at the school,citing numerous challenges that continue to affect their education.
The appeal was made during the handover ceremony between the outgoing and incoming student leaders at Atapara Secondary School.

Speaking on behalf of the students, teachers, parents at large,the Headteacher of Atapara Senior Secondary School Godfrey Osenda,said although the school has recorded significant academic progress, it continues to struggle with critical challenges,including the lack of a perimeter wall fence,inadequate government-paid teachers,and what he described as limited attention from Oyam District Local Government compared to other schools.
Osenda urged district leaders to prioritize the development of Atapara Secondary School and pledged that the newly elected student leadership would work together with the school administration to promote discipline,unity,and academic excellence.

Representing the Oyam District LCV Chairperson,Caesar Apali,the Oyam District Vice Chairperson and Councillor representing Loro Town Council,assured students,parents, Leaders that the district leadership is committed to supporting the growth of the school.
Apali said the district has already included Atapara Secondary School in its development plans and promised continued collaboration with the school's administration to improve infrastructure and address the challenges affecting School.
He also encouraged the school management to continue submitting formal requests and development proposals to the district so they can be considered during planning and budgeting processes.
Meanwhile,Seminarian Tonny Atim of Atapara Parish challenged the newly elected student leaders to emulate biblical leaders such as King David,King Solomon,and Jesus Christ,urging them to lead with wisdom, humility,integrity,and selfless service.
He noted that effective leadership begins at a young age and said the experience gained through student leadership would prepare them to become responsible leaders in their communities and the country in the future.
Atapara Secondary School currently has an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students.
