Fufa gives 540 zakayo balls to upl clubs ahead of 2026/27 kickoff

FUFA  UGANDA - Ahead of the 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, FUFA has boosted all 18 UPL clubs with official match balls. FUFA handed over 540 Zakayo balls - the official competition ball - with each of the 18 clubs receiving 30 balls.

The balls, worth UGX 60M, were handed over by FUFA Executive Committee Member Mr. Deo Mutabazi. According to FUFA, the initiative is in line with its Strategic Plan of supporting clubs with sports equipment.

This comes as the Uganda Premier League new season 2026/27 is set to kick off on 28th August with many exciting fixtures lined up on matchday one. Clubs are now in final preparations for what promises to be a highly competitive season.
