Dokolo to Receive 41,000 Kilogrammes of Government Seeds on Tuesday Next Week.
According to the Lango Sub-region seed allocation schedule,a total of 487,000 kilogrammes of seeds have been allocated across the region.

DOKOLO DISTRICT LANGO - 8th August 2026 Dokolo District is set to receive 41,000 kilogrammes of government seeds on Tuesday next week as part of an emergency intervention to support farmers affected by the prolonged drought that hit the Lango Sub-region.
Dokolo District Woman Member of Parliament Sarah Aguti Nyangkori said the seed distribution followed a joint appeal by the Lango Parliamentary Group to the Office of the Prime Minister,requesting support for communities that suffered crop losses and food shortages due to the drought.
Aguti said the Office of the Prime Minister worked together with Operation Wealth Creation to ensure that seeds are supplied to farmers across the Lango Sub-region. She assured residents that Dokolo's allocation will arrive on Tuesday next week and urged them to prepare for planting.
The legislator said that once the seeds arrive,she will convene a meeting involving Joseph Jones Ogwal Omara a member of Parliament for Dokolo North,Vincent Opito member of Parliament for Dokolo South,the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO),the LC5 Chairperson and the District Production Officer to agree on a transparent distribution plan. Aguti pledged to ensure that every seed allocated to Dokolo reaches the intended beneficiaries without diversion.
Dokolo North MP Joseph Jones Ogwal Omara welcomed the development,saying the timely delivery of the seeds would enable farmers to plant early. He called on district leaders to ensure the seeds are distributed promptly and fairly. Dokolo South MP Vincent Opito said Members of Parliament from across the Lango Sub-region are continuing to engage the government to secure more agricultural support for local communities.

Oyam received 129,500 kilogrammes,Lira City 83,500 kilogrammes,Lira District 79,000 kilogrammes,Apac 49,000 kilogrammes, Dokolo 41,000 kilogrammes,Kole and Alebtong 35,000 kilogrammes each, Amolatar and Kwania 15,000 kilogrammes each,
While, Otuke received 5,000 kilogrammes. The distribution includes 405,000 kilogrammes of maize,41,000 kilogrammes of soyabean,30,000 kilogrammes of rice, 5,000 kilogrammes of beans,4,000 kilogrammes of groundnuts, 1,000 kilogrammes of sesame and 1,000 kilogrammes of sunflower seeds.
