MP Leo Elem: "I Want Moroto County to Rise and Become Strong in Sports"

Member of Parliament for Moroto County in Alebtong District, Hon. Leo Elem, has pledged to support the growth of sports in the area. Speaking while hosting the Moroto county football team for refreshments at St. Gracious Palace Hotel in Lira on Friday eveing,
Hon. Elem said his vision is to see Moroto rise and become strong in sports. He addressed the team that is preparing for the Dwog Paco Cup quarter final second leg against Mauruzi constituency he encouraged them to showcase their talent and play as one.
Hon. Elem also shared his personal experience, saying he was once a player and used to play as number 6.
He told the players that football is not played by one person alone, but requires teamwork and unity with one heart, "I will give all my support to the Moroto team so that the name of Moroto is known across the map of Uganda,"he said.
Team Captain Isaac Otim thanked the MP and assured him that the team is ready to fight hard.
He said they are preparing for their match against Maruzi County scheduled for Saturday, 18th July 2026. He called on all Moroto County players to go into the game with unity and determination to win.
