Lango Province Gears Up for Quarter-Final Clash Against Teso

LANGO - Lango Province’s football team is intensifying preparations for the quarter-final match against Teso Province scheduled for March 22, 2026, in Soroti.

The preparations follow a meeting held on March 6, 2026, between the team management and fans, where several key resolutions were agreed upon to strengthen the team’s performance and support base.

One of the major resolutions was to host home matches in Lira City instead of Apac, a move aimed at increasing gate collections and boosting revenue for the team.

Fans also welcomed the return of chief mobilizers Ebuk Sam, Samu, and Fred Ayena, who pledged to rejuvenate and spearhead fan mobilization efforts ahead of the crucial quarter-final encounter.

During the meeting, supporters also raised concerns about transport facilitation for fans traveling to away matches, noting that improved coordination would enable more supporters to accompany the team during important fixtures.

Speaking during the meeting, Labongo Patrick and Mugisha Ramadan urged the management to recognize and motivate the Lango Super Fans, emphasizing that strong fan support plays a vital role in boosting the players’ morale.

The meeting was chaired by Olinga Robert Otolo, who acknowledged several challenges affecting the team, including low mobilization and many supporters opting to watch matches on FUFA TV instead of attending games in person, which has affected gate collections.

Otolo called upon all stakeholders and fans across Lango to rally behind the team, especially at a time when Lango Province is defending its championship title.
