Hope Schools Pledge to Expand Education and Talent Development as Parents Approve Fee Increase.
Parents at Hope Schools in Akalo Sub-county have approved an increase in school fees for Senior Four from four hundred thousand shillings to Four hundred twenty five thousand shillings following discussions with the school management.

AKALO KOLE DISTRICT -The management of Hope Nursery,Primary and Secondary School in Akalo Sub-county, Kole District,has pledged to continue investing in quality education,infrastructure and talent development for learners across Lango,Teso,Acholi and Uganda at large.
Speaking to parents during a school meeting held on Saturday,August 8,2026,at Project Hope Hall,Team Leader and Project Director Denis Emiko said the institution’s priority is to provide children with quality education while nurturing their talents and practical skills. Emiko first thanked the Government of Uganda for allowing Hope Schools to operate in the country,particularly in Akalo Sub-county, Kole District.
He said the establishment of Hope Nursery, Primary and Secondary School was driven by the desire to provide quality education to children in the surrounding communities and beyond.
“We shall continue developing the talents and education of the children in Hope Nursery,Primary and Secondary School,” Emiko said. He said the school management is undertaking several development projects, including construction of a perimeter wall and new dormitories for both boys and girls. Emiko also said the school is expanding its talent and technical skills programmes to equip learners with practical knowledge in areas such as motor vehicle repair and building construction,among others.
He called on school leaders,including the School Management Committee (SMC) and Parents and Teachers Association (PTA),to work together and provide effective leadership to attract more parents and support the growth of the institution. “I need cooperation and unity in the schools,” Emiko said. He also urged parents to actively participate in monitoring the development projects being implemented at the school. “I have given the schools to the parents to monitor the development and the projects going on,” he said.
The Headteacher of Hope Nursary and Primary School Charles Okello thanked parents for attending the meeting, saying their participation demonstrates their commitment to the education and welfare of their children. He said Hope Nursery,Primary and Secondary School continues to make progress, with learners increasingly performing well in their examinations.
The school currently has 463 learners, including 118 pupils in Nursery and 345 in Primary, supported by 19 teachers, five of whom teach in the Nursery section. The headteacher also highlighted the school’s performance in the 2025 Senior Four examinations.
He said 35 students were registered for the examinations,with 18 obtaining Division One and 16 obtaining Division Two,while one student did not sit the examinations after joining a technical school. Meanwhile,parents at Hope Schools in Akalo Sub-county have approved an increase in school fees for Senior Four from four hundred thousand shillings to Four hundred twenty five thousand shillings following discussions with the school management.
The parents said they are prepare to support the increase fees as the institution continues to expand its infrastructure, improve academic standards and develop practical and vocational skills among learners.
