UYFA Northern Region to Hold First Annual General Meeting

LIRA – The Uganda Youth Football Associations Northern Region (UYFANR) is set to hold its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the FUFA Northern Regional Office. 

The meeting, scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., will bring together registered and non-registered football academies, stakeholders, partners, football leaders, and members of the press.

According to the UYFA Northern Region Secretariat, the AGM will focus on strengthening youth football development and establishing a leadership structure for the association.

Key items on the agenda include the election of the UYFA Northern Region Chairperson, formation of the executive committee, and discussions on the proposed regional annual subscription fees. 

The meeting will also feature special addresses from the FUFA President and regional football leaders. Only registered UYFA/FUFA academies will be eligible to vote, provided they present proof of registration.

The nine eligible voting academies are: - 

Paorhina Sports Academy – Agago - Eleven Brothers Sports Academy – Lira - Tawheed Junior Sports Academy – Lira - Lira Sport Academy – Lira - Rhaino Soccer Academy – Lira - Destiny Sports Academy – Lira - Wisdom School of Excellence – Kole - Friends of Football Academy – Gulu - Yalwak Manyen Academy – Omoro The Secretariat has urged all registered academies to attend the meeting.

Non-registered academies wishing to participate are required to contribute UGX 30,000 towards breakfast and lunch.

Participants are encouraged to confirm their attendance by September 22, 2026, to facilitate proper planning, and to observe punctuality.

The AGM is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the future of youth football and promote the growth of football academies across Northern Uganda.
