Otuke District Holds Baraza on PDM, Health and Accountability
Otuke District Local Government through the Office of the RDC has engaged residents of Otuke on key government programmes

Otuke 12 July 2026 The Community Baraza held in Olilim Town Council was officiated by Deputy Resident District Commissioner Francis Okwameri, together with Assistant RDCs Isaac Opio Opeo Akankwasa and Kirya Joel Jonathan. Also in attendance were the LCV Chairperson, the Mayor of Olilim Town Council, the OC Olilim Police, district technical staff, local leaders and hundreds of residents.
Residents raised concerns on health and education services, poor roads, implementation of the Parish Development Model, the restocking programme, and allegations of extortion, favoritism, corruption and lack of transparency.
Assistant resident district commissioner Otuke Isaac Opio Opeo said Office of the President is committed to ensuring that every government programme benefits the intended people.
Our intelligence teams are already on the ground to investigate allegations of extortion and misuse of public resources. Any one found frustrating government programmes will be spared." Kirya Joel as well urged public servants to uphold professionalism and fairness, while DRDC Francis Okwameri said government will follow up all complaints raised.

DRDC Francis Okwameri "Community Barazas are an important platform for government to hear directly from the people.
The government's priority remains improving livelihoods through effective implementation of programmes such as PDM and the restocking initiative." Residents were encouraged to report cases of corruption and to protect government projects for development to reach every household.
