Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti, Kole North MP, called on leaders and security agencies to intensify the fight against corruption in the cattle restocking compensation programme.

 “Those responsible for defrauding beneficiaries should be brought to justice to restore public confidence in the programme,” 

Acuti said. He also announced that 4,375 households will soon receive hand hoes across Kole District to improve household incomes and promote commercial agriculture. He spoke during the burial of Muzee Nelson Openy, 81, at Bar-Ogil Village, Ayal-Yaa Parish, Alito Sub-county, on Wednesday 1st July , 2026. About the Deceased Muzee Nelson Openy was born in Langata, Nairobi, Kenya. 

He was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Bar-Ogil Village, Ayal-Yaa Parish, Alito Sub-county, Kole District at the age of 81. Prof.

Dr. Richard Nam, Clan Chief of Okii Amat, during his massage to the Mourners has declared a tough crackdown on individuals grabbing land belonging to widows and orphans, saying the practice will no longer be tolerated within the clan. 

“The clan leadership will work closely with clan elders, local leaders, and government authorities to ensure that widows and orphaned children are protected from land grabbers,” Prof. Nam said.

Meanwhile,Rev George Odur of Alito Sub-county in his message attributed rising moral decline to the abandonment of biblical teachings.

 “Christians, especially young people, should return to reading the Bible and living according to its teachings. This will help restore discipline and moral values,” he urged.
