PLU Mobilises Supporters in Lango Subregion Ahead of 2031 Elections

LANGO -The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) is stepping up mobilisation activities in the Lango Subregion, with youth leaders and supporters preparing to engage communities and promote the organisation's political agenda.
The mobilisation comes amid growing interest in political activity in the region ahead of Uganda's 2031 general elections.
The Organisers say the programme is intended to create interaction between PLU leaders, young people and residents across Lango. According to PLU supporters, the region has previously been viewed as an area where Ruling Political party can attract significant support.
They also cited voting patterns from the previous election while arguing that political loyalties in Lango remain divided. The supporters said many young people are now joining efforts to promote PLU messages in the subregion.
Some have praised General Muhoozi Kainerugaba for what they describe as his contribution to the fight against the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), as well as his recent public stance on corruption.
The organisers also said the activities will include discussions on PLU's plans for Lango and opportunities for residents and party leaders to interact.
The mobilisation is expected to bring together PLU supporters, youth and political leaders from across Lango at an event scheduled for 4th Oct in Mayors Graden Lira City .
The organisers have also spoken about endorsing General Muhoozi Kainerugaba for the presidency.
However, Uganda's next presidential election is scheduled for 2031, The developments come as various political groups intensify mobilisation across the country ahead of the Next General elections.
Some of the youth leaders confirmed the above development on Tuesday this week when being hosted in Qfm radio in the morning show among them was Pius Olam who said they will use 4th of Oct to launch PLU in Lango and on that day they will interact with the top leaders of PLU among others .

Another female youth Patricia Alany Sedu who also appeared for the radio talk show assured the members that PLU books will be endorsed and be distributed to the Sub countries.
