Northern Uganda Boxing Association Pushes for National Coaching & Referee Courses to Be Hosted in the Region
The Northern Uganda Boxing Association Executive Committee met on 21/5/2026 at TAKS CENTER in Gulu and urged the Uganda Boxing Federation to host the National Boxing Coaching and Referee Courses in the Northern region. Chairman Mulindra Denish said the courses would raise coaching standards and boost local coaches’ skills. Members also called for unity, cooperation, discipline, and hard work among clubs and boxers to develop talent for Uganda’s national team.
The Northern Uganda Boxing Association executive committee on 21/5/2026 held a key meeting at TAKS CENTER in Gulu, where members put up a spirited appeal for the Uganda Boxing Federation to host the National boxing coaching course and national referee Course in the Northern region.
The meeting, led by Chairman Denish, emphasized that bringing the courses to Northern Uganda would improve coaching standards and strengthen the skills of local coaches.
At the same meeting, members also stressed the need for unity and cooperation among clubs and boxers, alongside discipline and hard work, as the foundation for developing talent that can represent Uganda at the national team level. The resolution reflects the association’s push to raise the profile of boxing in Northern Uganda and create clearer pathways for local boxers to progress nationally.
